On July 1, SEIU Healthcare Florida members joined a broad coalition of Orlando area workers from a wide variety of trades and professions, in a rally outside of Senator Bill Nelson’s office to encourage him to continue his leadership on the critical issue of healthcare reform.

On Tuesday, June 9, SEIU Florida launched Healthcare Summer at a press event in Miami at the Borinquen Health Care Center. Elected officials, community health leaders and healthcare workers spoke about the need for healthcare reform that includes a public option which will guarantee quality, affordable healthcare for all.

Call or Sen. Nelson today and tell him healthcare reform must include a public health option that would compete with private insurance plans and bring down costs for consumers.
