St. Mary's RN, Betsy Marville, Joins SEIU Nurses at White House Town Hall Meeting on Healthcare
In February, thousands of nurses, doctors, and health care professionals wrote letters to President Obama as part of SEIU's movement to fix health care. They shared personal stories about working inside a broken system and used their unique point of view to offer solutions. On Friday, March 27 , two SEIU Florida nurse leaders, Martha Baker (Local 1991, Jackson Health Systems) and Betsy Marville (Healthcare Florida, St. Mary's Medical Center), were among a group of 10 SEIU RNs who attended a White House town hall meeting at the request of the president. Close to 100,000 people submitted questions to the White House before their visit.
