Union Members Take Action Inside their Hospitals to Push for Stronger Infection Control

SEIU healthcare workers at HCA hospitals are standing up for a more effective response to the flu pandemic and speaking out against mandatory vaccine programs. The problem with mandatory programs is that they divert limited time, attention from broad, effective disease control.

We support a comprehensive response that includes hand-washing, respiratory protection programs, proper disinfection of patient rooms, education, and voluntary inoculation. That’s what the Centers for Disease Control recommends—not mandated vaccination or masks.
