SEIU Healthcare Florida Members Marched Stop Big Bank Greed

May 17, 2010, Washington, DC

A little rain didn't stop thousands of people from gathering on K Street to call out the big bank lobbyists corrupting our democracy.

About a dozen SEIU Healthcare Florida members were among thousands of SEIU members from across the nation, members of National People's Action and taxpayers from across the country who canvassed K Street and the surrounding lobbyist shops in Washington, DC. They were focused on some of the biggest names in Wall Street and giant corporate lobbying - Nixon Peabody, Gephardt, Elmendorf, and Podesta. They also made stops at the DC offices of Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase.

The message was the same for everyone, whether they're Democrats or Republicans - stop lobbying against the American people and infecting our democracy with greed.

Check out the photos members took while marching through the rainy streets of DC.
