Is Your Worksite Prepared for Flu Season?

While much of the media hype about the H1N1 virus - aka the Swine flu - has subsided, health care facilities across the country are headed for a busy flu season.

In fact, a new report released today by Trust for America's Health says that 15 states could run out of hospitals beds at the height of a flu outbreak.

Health care workers in Florida need to prepare and make sure they know the answers to a few questions:

  • What are the differences between pandemic and seasonal flu?
  • What is the best way to manage a flu outbreak?
  • What is you worksite's flu response plan?

To help health care workers in Florida answer these questions, the Nurse Alliance of SEIU has assembled this Pandemic Flu Preparedness Kit. Check it out and make sure your workplace is ready for flu season.
